This week's Wear It Your Way challenge by Style It Light was to style the above poncho. Now, anyone can wear a floppy hat, the trick to this outfit is to shake it up a little. And I do love a good trilby. I couldn't decide on trousers or a dress, so I'll let you decide instead. Ponchos, particularly burnt orange and navy knit ponchos, always bring to mind the desert - possibly due to an overdose of Rawhide as a child - but this outfit is far from cowboy to my mind!

Style It Light are running a Wear It Your Way challenge that I'm having a go at. This lovely bright boxy jacket reminded me of an outfit I'd seen in Paris, city of chic, where seamed stockings and wiggle skirts are a must.

Style It Light: For a Lazy Summer

Style It Light are running a Wear It Your Way challenge that I thought I'd have a go at. I've been playing with layering concepts and love the idea of a long dress under a simple skirt to allow the dress to create a nice band of fabric at the bottom of the skirt, almost like an apron skirt effect. I'm in love with florals right now so this dress was a must have and offered a lovely blue that could be picked up with accessories. Add some wedges, shades and a great hat for a casual girly look.
